Cameroon's sports-themed commemorative program of the 2010s was driven almost entirely by export — these pieces were never intended for domestic circulation and were produced under licensing arrangements with European minting houses targeting collector markets in Germany and beyond. The 2500 Francs denomination exists purely as a face-value fiction; no such coin circulates in the CFA franc zone.
Gold-plated silver issues of this type are catalogued under KM#77, distinguishing them from a parallel pure silver strike in the same series.
