| Obverse description | The obverse bears the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by sculptor Susanna Blunt, depicting a right-facing bareheaded portrait of the sovereign adorned with a necklace and drop earrings. The legend around the field reads ELIZABETH II CANADA 2018 D•G•REGINA, with the denomination 2500 DOLLARS also inscribed. The effigy, rendered in fine relief against a mirror-polished field, reflects the Queen's likeness at approximately 77 years of age. |
