| Reverse description | Central high-relief design depicting a coiled snake rendered in intricate engraved detail, its body elegantly spiralling to fill the field, framed by stylised clouds above and flowering botanical branches to either side in a distinctly East Asian artistic tradition. At the centre of the coil, the Chinese character 蛇 (meaning 'snake') is prominently displayed within a circular medallion. The engraver's initials 'AC' appear in the lower right field. The inscriptions CANADA and 2500 DOLLARS are arranged along the lower periphery in incuse lettering. |
