| 背面描述 | A highly detailed three-dimensional inlaid sea turtle occupies the centre of the reverse field, its carapace encrusted with numerous pink argyle diamonds set in rose gold, and its flippers pavé-set with white diamonds in white gold; a single emerald forms the eye. The turtle swims above an engraved coral reef seabed populated with tropical fish and marine flora rendered in high relief. A radiant sunburst motif arcs across the upper field, centred on a pink diamond, with additional white diamonds inlaid along the inner border arc. The legend 'THE JEWELLED TURTLE 2024' curves along the upper border, while the Perth Mint privy mark 'P125' appears in the lower right field, and the designer's initials 'NM' are inscribed at the lower left. |

The Jewelled Turtle series has been a consistent vehicle for the Perth Mint's high-relief, gem-set bullion work, but the transition to Charles III's effigy — here in its first portrait iteration by sculptor Jody Clark — marks the first major royal changeover the series has seen since its inception. Clark's portrait was adopted across Commonwealth mints following the Queen's death in September 2022, though individual issuing authorities varied considerably in how quickly they retooled their proof programs around it.
The composite construction — a .9999 fine gold coin with gold plating — is specific to the gem-set tier of this series, where the setting work for the inlaid stones requires a substrate with slightly different surface properties than a standard proof blank.
