The State Emblem of Mongolia occupies the central field, depicting the soyombo symbol surmounted by a flaming torch atop a crescent and sphere, set upon a rectangular shield bearing the taijitu (yin-yang) motif. The emblem is flanked on either side by symmetrical sprays of olive branches. A ribbon banner below the emblem bears the Cyrillic legend МОНГОЛУЛС (Mongolia), and the date 1993 appears in the lower field. The coin's border is composed of a continuous ring of raised beads. |
