Mongolia's 2007 commemorative program leaned heavily on the international collector market, with several issues from this period produced by foreign mints under contract rather than at any domestic facility. The Gemini issue belongs to a zodiac series that was marketed primarily through European and North American distributors, meaning most surviving examples never came close to Mongolia itself.
