Aanvullende informatie

Part of a twelve-coin zodiac series issued by the Bank of Mongolia through the mid-2000s, these pieces were struck for the collector market and saw no domestic circulation. Mongolia had no particular cultural attachment to the Western zodiac — the series was produced almost entirely for export to European and Asian coin dealers, a common revenue strategy among smaller central banks during this period.
