| Obverse description | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing horizontal lines and a five-pointed star at its centre, supported by two leopards rampant on either side. Below the shield, two crossed palm fronds and a ribbon complete the heraldic composition.
