| 表面の説明 | The Somali national coat of arms is depicted centrally in the field, featuring a quartered shield charged with a five-pointed star, supported by two leopards rampant on either side, resting upon crossed spears and an olive branch tied with a ribbon. The date '2006' is split across the lower field, flanking the supporters. The circular legend 'SOMALI REPUBLIC' arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, while the denomination '250 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower rim. |

Somalia had no functioning central government in 2006 — the Transitional Federal Government existed largely on paper, controlling almost nothing outside a few provisional offices. Coins issued under the Somali name during this period were produced entirely for the collector market by private minting contractors in Europe, with no connection to any domestic monetary authority or circulation.
Nobel himself died in 1896, and his will — written in Swedish and signed in Paris — was initially contested by his relatives and nearly invalidated by Swedish authorities who questioned whether a man with no fixed national residence could direct his estate under Swedish law.
