| Obverse description | Central field features the royal arms of Nepal rendered as a quartered shield with decorative cross-shaped partitions, each quarter containing Devanagari inscriptions spelling out the royal name and titles of King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. A trident device appears at the center of the shield. The shield is flanked by stylized decorative elements at the cardinal points, and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The Nepali Sambat date २०५८ (2058 VS) appears at the base of the shield. |
