Obverse description Traditional Nepalese cross-pattée emblematic design divided into nine compartments, featuring the royal name of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev inscribed in Devanagari script across the central fields. Symbolic royal and Hindu emblems occupy the corner and lateral panels, including a crescent moon, a sun, a trident (trishula) at centre, a lotus bud, a conch shell, a ceremonial mace, and a Star of David-like device. The Bikram Sambat date 2043 appears in the lower central compartment. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
