| Obverse description | Traditional Nepalese cross-shaped royal cipher design occupying the central field, divided into quadrants by a stylised cross motif with a trident emblem at the centre. The royal name of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev is inscribed in Devanagari script across the quadrants, reading श्री श्री श्रीपु वीरेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह देव. Auspicious symbols including a sun, conch shell, lotus blossom, and chakra embellish the four outer sections. The Bikram Sambat regnal year २०४७ (VS 2047) appears in the lower field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
