Obverse description Yellow-orange tinted cheque-style note with an intricate guilloche underprint across the entire field. At the top centre, the issuer's name is printed in Cyrillic in two lines, with the denomination '250 РУБ.' in large bold numerals at the right. The body of the note carries printed text in Russian identifying the special government account of the Republic of Armenia, the series and serial number, the place and date of issue (Erivan, August 1919), and a statement of the bearer's right to collect two hundred and fifty roubles from the Erivan Branch of the State Bank. Two manuscript signatures of the Minister and the Minister of Finance appear at the lower centre.

Reverse description Plain yellow-toned reverse with an all-over guilloche underprint pattern. A central text block in Russian states that the cheque has been accepted by the Erivan Branch of the State Bank and is payable by the Branch from 15 January 1920. Three manuscript signatures appear below, attributed to the Manager of the Erivan Branch of the State Bank, the Controller, and the Cashier respectively.
