Beschrijving voorzijde Central field depicts the official mascot of the 2004 Southeast Asian Games held in Palembang — a stylized anthropomorphic feline character dressed in traditional Pencak Silat martial arts attire, rendered in high relief, shown in a dynamic fighting stance with one arm raised and the other guarding. The Games logo, featuring five interlocking rings above a decorative emblem, appears in the upper left of the field. The legend PENCAK SILAT curves along the lower field, flanked to the right by the denomination 250 NGULTRUM and the date 2004; the fineness notation 1oz silver 999 appears to the lower left.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field features the elaborate royal emblem of Bhutan in high relief, depicting two highly detailed druk (thunder dragons) in confronting postures flanking a central crossed vajra (dorje) set upon a stylized lotus flower, all rendered in the traditional Bhutanese artistic style with intricate cloud and floral scrollwork filling the field. Eight small asterisk ornaments are evenly spaced around the inner border. The Dzongkha inscription of the Kingdom's name appears along the upper border in Tibetan script, while the Latin legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN is inscribed along the lower border.
