Obverse description The Kingdom of Italy coat of arms, supported by two lions, anchors the upper center of this dark grey intaglio-printed note, flanked by encircled denomination numerals '250' at upper left and right. The central cartouche carries the legal text, framed below by two reclining allegorical female figures: Industry at left, holding a gear and work tool with a stylized cornucopia at her feet, and Agriculture at right, holding a sickle and sheaf of wheat with a staff of Asclepius nearby; four rhomboid vignettes bearing the heads of Mercury and Bacchus occupy the corner positions, while two small cherubs at center left and right each support an eagle. A light brown guilloche underprint with the denomination '250' fills the text area, and a vertical matrix border at left repeats 'Regno d'Italia' and '250 Lire' in dark grey.
