| Obverse description | Conjoined facing busts of Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin (left, in profile facing right) and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat (right, in profile facing left), their effigies presented symmetrically against a polished field. Above the busts, a dove in flight carrying an olive branch symbolises peace. The names BEGIN and SADAT appear vertically along the left and right inner borders respectively, flanked by a beaded inner circle. The curved legend REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI arcs across the upper field, while the commemorative dates 19 NOV. - 25 DEC. 1977 are inscribed along the lower arc, referencing the historic peace negotiations. |
