| 备注 |
The 250 Gourdes was introduced in 2004 to mark Haiti's bicentennial of independence — a politically charged moment given the simultaneous collapse of Jean-Bertrand Aristide's government, which fell in February of that year amid mass protests and a armed rebellion. Issuing a commemorative denomination during a constitutional crisis was an unusual move, and the note's long print run through 2016 meant it eventually circulated well outside the anniversary occasion it was designed to mark.
Thomas De La Rue's involvement brought the holographic strip and watermark security package common to their Caribbean central bank contracts of that period.
