| Obverse description | Uniface obverse trial strike depicting a bust of Henri Christophe in three-quarter view, facing slightly right, attired in a formal military or regal costume with decorative elements visible at the collar and chest. Below the central effigy appears an ornate heraldic or emblematic device. The circular legend around the field reads 'REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI' at the top and 'ROI H. CHRISTOPHE' at the bottom, flanking the dates '1767' and '1820' which denote the birth and death years of the subject. The design is executed in a bold relief characteristic of commemorative medallic work produced by the Italian firm Italcambio. |
