| Beschrijving keerzijde | A highly detailed frontal portrait of a puma (Puma concolor) fills the right portion of the field, rendered with fine engraving that captures the animal's facial features and whiskers. To the left, a large paw print is depicted in incuse relief against the polished field. The arc legend PREDATORS · PUMA CONCOLOR and the date 2020 appear along the upper periphery, while the inscription 1/2 G. 9999 FINEST GOLD is positioned along the lower arc, attesting to the coin's weight and gold fineness. |

Senegal is a member of the West African Economic and Monetary Union, whose common currency is managed by the BCEAO in Dakar — meaning Senegal has no independent mint authority and issues no circulating coinage of its own. Coins bearing Senegalese attribution at this weight and fineness are contract-struck by private European mints, typically Monnaie de Paris or B.H. Mayer, and sold directly into the collector market without ever approaching West African circulation.
The cougar is native to the Americas, not West Africa.
