Obverse description Bimetallic coin with a gold-coloured inner disc and dark outer ring decorated with a continuous Greek key (meander) border. At centre, a standing antelope faces left within the inner disc. The denomination '250 fils' in Latin script and '٢٥٠ فيلس' in Arabic script appear in the upper field above the antelope. The legend 'SULTANATE OF PEMBA' curves along the lower left of the outer ring, and the date '2013' appears at the lower right.

Reverse description Bimetallic coin with a dark outer ring and gold-coloured inner disc. The inner disc features an elaborate Arabic calligraphic cartouche in an ornate tughra-style composition, rendered in raised relief against the gold field. An intricate foliate and arabesque frame surrounds the calligraphic device. The word 'پمباه' (Pemba) appears in Arabic script at the base of the design, and the date '٢٠١٣' is inscribed in Arabic-Indic numerals below.
