| 备注 |
The South Arabian Currency Authority existed for only a handful of years, a transitional institution created as Britain prepared to withdraw from Aden. This note was issued into a federation that was already coming apart — rival nationalist factions, British troop withdrawals, and an insurgency that would ultimately produce the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen in 1967, the same year this series was retired.
De La Rue printed the entire P#1 series in London, and the short window of issue — two years at most — kept circulation volumes low. Notes that did circulate through Aden's port economy took hard use quickly in the humid coastal climate.
