| Obverse description | Central to the hexagonal obverse is a bold high-relief figure of a winged discus thrower, rendered in the classical tradition and evoking the ancient Greek Discobolus, set dynamically against an architectural background referencing a grand Haussmann-era Parisian interior with arched colonnades and radiating track lines suggesting an athletic stadium. To the lower left of the field appears the monogram 'RF' (République Française) in incuse lettering, while to the lower right the official Paris 2024 Olympic Games logo — comprising the Olympic flame integrated with a female face and the five-ring emblem — is inscribed alongside the legend 'PARIS 2024'.
