| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three vertical panels, each bearing a large Gothic initial letter spelling 'R', 'F' in the outer panels, with the denomination '250 €' rendered in an ornate Gothic typeface at centre. The left panel is decorated with a repeating pattern of Napoleonic eagles arranged in a grid, the central panel features an elaborate interlacing design of fleurs-de-lis, and the right panel is adorned with a quatrefoil Gothic tracery motif.
