The composition is adapted from the original Comitia Americana medal struck in honor of Morgan's victory at Cowpens, engraved by Augustin Dupré. The legend DANIELI MORGAN DUCI EXERCITUS arcs across the upper field, with the engraver's signature DUPRÉ appearing in the lower field. The date 2024 and the national identifier RF have been added to the design to conform to modern French coinage requirements. |
