| Obverse description | The Arms of the Republic of Liberia displayed centrally within the field, featuring a three-masted sailing ship on the sea, a rising sun on the horizon, a palm tree, a dove in flight, a plough and spade in the foreground, and a scroll bearing the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE' above the shield.
