Obverse description The obverse features the right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Susan Taylor, set against a finely detailed honeycomb-patterned field. The Queen is depicted wearing a necklace and earring, her hair arranged in her characteristic coiffure. The circumferential legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' to the left, 'CANADA 2018' at the top, and 'D·G·REGINA' to the right. The denomination '250 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower rim. A small engraver's mark appears at the base of the bust.
