| 背面描述 | The central design features a large Slovak double-barred cross (the Patriarchal or Lorraine cross), a prominent national and heraldic symbol of Slovakia, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. Three stylised mountain peaks, representing the Tatra, Fatra and Matra ranges of Slovak heraldry, rise from the base of the cross. The entire central motif is encircled by a richly detailed border of Slovak folk-art ornament comprising stylised roses, tulips, leaves and paired birds executed in the traditional hand-engraved manner characteristic of the Czech Mint's artistic workshops. The reverse field is devoid of lettering, with only a small engraver's signature visible at the lower right of the border. |

Niue's high-denomination gold issues of this type are struck by the New Zealand Mint under licensing arrangements that allow the island territory — population under 2,000 — to function as a prolific numismatic issuer with no meaningful domestic coin economy. The Slovak Cross motif ties this piece to a broader Central European collector market that drives primary demand.
