| 背面描述 | The reverse reproduces the historic Seven Provinces Shield of Canada as used from the 1870s into the early twentieth century, rendered in exacting detail on this large-format kilo silver coin. The shield is surmounted by a stylized royal crown and quarters the coats of arms of the four Confederation founding provinces — Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia — together with those of Manitoba, British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island. A beaver, a traditional Canadian heraldic symbol, is positioned beneath the shield, accompanied by a ribbon bearing the bilingual inscription DOMINION OF / DU CANADA. Flanking the central composition on either side, within individual laurel wreaths, appear the separate provincial shields: Ontario and Nova Scotia to the left, Quebec and New Brunswick to the right.
