Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features the mature effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, as designed by Susanna Blunt, depicting the Queen wearing a pearl necklace and pearl earring with her hair neatly coiffed. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs vertically along the left rim, while '250 DOLLARS' curves along the upper field and 'D·G·REGINA' descends along the right rim. The date '2011' appears in the lower exergue. The engraver's initials 'SB' are visible at the truncation of the bust. The highly polished proof fields provide a strong contrast to the finely detailed relief of the portrait.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a dynamic scene commemorating the 375th anniversary of lacrosse, depicting Indigenous players engaged in a vigorous game in the foreground, rendered in high relief against a detailed panoramic landscape background showing additional players and treeline in lower relief. Three principal figures occupy the central field, each holding a traditional lacrosse stick, their athletic forms captured mid-play with expressive movement. The inscription 'CANADA' arcs along the upper rim, and the commemorative dates '1636-2011' appear within a rectangular cartouche in the lower portion of the field. The engraver's initials 'SH' are visible in the lower right field.
