| 正面描述 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the third definitive portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and a draped neckline. The legend ELIZABETH II · PITCAIRN ISLANDS arcs around the upper field, while the denomination 250 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower left field. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field, exhibiting the refined neoclassical style characteristic of Maklouf's Royal Mint commissions. |

The HMAV *Bounty* mutiny of April 1789 — two centuries before this coin's issue — remains one of the most documented events in Pacific colonial history, yet Pitcairn itself exists as a functioning jurisdiction today only because Fletcher Christian and eight fellow mutineers settled there in 1790 with a small group of Tahitians, burned the ship, and remained undiscovered by the Royal Navy for eighteen years. Pitcairn's coin program, launched in the 1980s, is essentially the island's primary export revenue given a population that has never exceeded a few dozen residents.
