| Additional information |
Part of the New Zealand Mint's "Dragon" bullion series issued through Niue, the Green Dragon continues a multi-year program that has positioned the country as one of the more prolific legal-tender vehicle issuers for privately designed precious metal coins. Niue's arrangement with the New Zealand Mint grants the latter broad latitude to produce themed bullion under Niuean authority — a fiscal convenience that has little to do with the island's 1,600-person population and everything to do with sovereign licensing revenue.
The one-troy-ounce .9999 fine specification aligns it directly with competitive bullion alternatives from Perth and the Royal Canadian Mint.
