The Star Wars licensing arrangement underpinning this piece runs through the Walt Disney Company, which acquired Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4 billion and has since authorized an extensive range of bullion and numismatic products.
Boba Fett's ship — the Slave I, rebranded by Lucasfilm around 2021 simply as "Boba Fett's Starfighter" in official materials — got that quiet name change just before this coin entered production.
