| Obverse description | Struck in proof finish against a deeply mirrored field, the obverse features the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as engraved by Susan Taylor, depicting the monarch wearing a pearl necklace and earrings with her hair elaborately coiffured. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery, the date 2013 is inscribed at the top, and the denomination 250 DOLLARS curves along the right.
