Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA SB
(Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
Reverse description The reverse features a richly coloured depiction of a blooming aster flower, its numerous slender lavender petals radiating from a detailed golden-yellow centre disk, set against a highly polished gold field. Two green leaves are rendered in colour at the lower right, providing naturalistic contrast to the floral centrepiece. A three-dimensional glass-sculpted bumblebee, with translucent wings and yellow-and-black banded abdomen, is affixed to the lower left of the design, serving as a distinctive sculptural highlight. The engraver's initials 'MG' appear in the lower right field. The denomination '250 DOLLARS' and date '2015' arc along the upper portion of the rim, while 'CANADA' is inscribed in raised letters along the lower rim.
