| Reverse description | The reverse presents an elaborately engraved Tudor rose as the central device, rendered in multiple concentric layers of petals rising in high sculptural relief from a beaded central boss. The rose is surrounded by dense, symmetrical foliate and floral ornament filling the entire oval field, all in the style of Ukrainian pysanka egg decoration. A border of scalloped lobes frames the composition along the perimeter of the oval flan. The incuse legend CANADA 2026 • 250 DOLLARS curves along the lower portion of the oval, with the engraver's initials DM at lower right. |

| Additional information |
The pysanka — the elaborately decorated Ukrainian Easter egg — became a subject of Canadian coinage partly because Ukraine represents one of the largest diaspora communities in Canada, with over 1.3 million Canadians of Ukrainian descent. The Royal Canadian Mint has returned to pysanka-themed issues several times, a reflection of that community's sustained cultural presence rather than a one-off commemorative impulse.
At 58.5 grams of .9999 fine gold, this sits in the Mint's half-kilo-adjacent prestige tier — below the kilogram showpieces but priced well beyond casual collector reach.
