Obverse description Centrally positioned, the Royal Arms of Morocco — a crowned shield bearing a green pentagram on a red field, supported by two lions rampant — dominates the field. An Arabic commemorative legend arcing around the upper periphery reads the fourth anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty the King. The numeral '250' appears prominently below the arms, with the denomination spelled out in Arabic script beneath it. The Hijri year 1424 is inscribed to the right and the Common Era year 2003 to the left, both in the lower field.
