| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the Nicaraguan national coat of arms: an equilateral triangle enclosing five volcanic peaks rising from the sea beneath a radiant sun, all within a circular border. The date 1992 appears in the exergue below the triangle, flanked by the purity mark '999' to the right. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA DE NICARAGUA' arcs across the upper periphery, while 'AMERICA CENTRAL' runs along the lower periphery, each separated by a five-pointed star at either side.
