Obverse description The national coat of arms of El Salvador occupies the central field, featuring a triangle enclosing five volcanic peaks beneath a radiant sun, flanked by two crossed flags and surmounted by a liberty cap on a staff. The arms are encircled by an olive and laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon inscribed DIOS UNION LIBERTAD. A circular beaded border frames the design, with the commemorative legend arcing around the upper periphery and the denomination 250 COLONES inscribed along the lower rim.
