The Latin votive legend SIT·T·XPE·DAT·Q·TV REGIS·ISTE·DVCAT encircles the design, translating as 'May this ducat be given to Thee, O Christ, who reignest.' The whole is surrounded by a beaded border consistent with Venetian presentation coinage of the late seventeenth century. |
