| Obverse description | The obverse features a central medallion depicting the coat of arms of South Ossetia: a snow leopard passant before a stylised mountain range, all within a beaded inner circle bearing the bilingual legend 'РЕСПУБЛИКӔ ХУССАР ИРЫСТОН' (in Ossetian) and 'РЕСПУБЛИКА ЮЖНАЯ ОСЕТИЯ' (in Russian).
