| Obverse description | Central raised disk bearing the coat of arms of the Republic of South Ossetia — a snow leopard passant before a mountain landscape — encircled by a beaded border with the bilingual legend in Ossetian (Cyrillic) and Russian reading 'РЕСПУБЛИКÆ ХУССАР ИРЫСТОН / РЕСПУБЛИКА ЮЖНАЯ ОСЕТИЯ'. The surrounding mirror-polished field carries a ring of floral rosette ornaments along the rim. The denomination '25 ЗÆРИНЫ' arcs across the upper field in large Cyrillic characters, while 'НАЦИОНАЛОН БАНК' (National Bank) is inscribed in bold Cyrillic lettering across the lower field.
