At the center of the obverse, the coat of arms of the Republic of South Ossetia is depicted within a beaded inner circle, showing a snow leopard passant before a stylized mountain landscape surmounted by a sun. The denomination '25 ЗÆРИНЫ' appears prominently in the upper field above the arms, and the legend 'НАЦИОНАЛОН БАНК' (National Bank) runs across the lower field in large Cyrillic characters. Flanking inscriptions in Cyrillic and Latin identify the issuing state as 'РЕСПУБЛИКӔ ХУССАР ИРЫСТОН / РЕСПУБЛИКА ЮЖНАЯ ОСЕТИЯ'. Additional details in the lower portion of the inner circle record the mint mark 'ММД', year '2018', and metallic fineness 'Ag 925 31,1'. |

The reverse presents a prooflike portrait bust of Issa Alexandrovich Pliyev in three-quarter view, rendered in fine relief, depicting him in Soviet military dress uniform adorned with medals and shoulder boards befitting his rank of Army General. To the left of the portrait, a Hero of the Soviet Union Gold Star medal and a military decoration are shown in selective gold gilding. The arc inscription 'ПЛИТЫ АЛЫКСАНДРЫ ФЫРТ ИССÆ' runs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic, identifying the honoree. At the lower left, the commemorative milestone '115 / 1903–1979' appears within a circular cartouche. The inscription 'ÆФСАДЫ ИНÆЛАР' (Army General) is positioned prominently to the right of the portrait in large Cyrillic lettering. |
