| Obverse description | Against a deeply mirrored proof field, the central device displays the coat of arms of South Ossetia — a snow leopard passant before a stylised mountain range — set within a beaded inner circle bearing the Ossetian legend 'РЕСПУБЛИКÆ ХУССАР ИРЫСТОН' above and 'РЕСПУБЛИКА ЮЖНАЯ ОСЕТИЯ' below.
