| Obverse description | Against a polished black field, the central device features the coat of arms of the Republic of South Ossetia in a raised inner circle: a snow leopard passant before a stylised mountain range. The arms are encircled by the bilingual legend in Ossetian and Russian: РЕСПУБЛИКӔ ХУССАР ИРЫСТОН / РЕСПУБЛИКА ЮЖНАЯ ОСЕТИЯ. The denomination 25 ЗÆРИНЫ appears prominently at the top of the outer field in bold Cyrillic lettering, while НАЦИОНАЛОН БАНК arcs across the lower field. The border of the outer ring is decorated with an ornamental frieze of stylised rosette medallions alternating with dotted elements, and the date 2023 together with the fineness mark Ag 925 31,1 and the Moscow Mint privy mark ММД appear at the base of the inner circle. |
