Obverse description The oval field is divided diagonally into a mirror-polished silver lower register and a deeply blackened upper register, evoking a nocturnal sky. At the top, a crescent moon and six-pointed star — the emblems of the Turkish Republic — are struck in relief against the dark field, surrounded by a scattering of small five-pointed stars. Two Seljuk-style rosette ornaments flank the central legends. The inscription 'SELÇUKLU DÖNEMİ BURÇ TASVİRLERİ' (Seljuk Period Zodiac Depictions) appears in two lines across the centre, with 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' arcing along the upper rim and the denomination and date '25 YTL 2008' inscribed along the lower rim.

Reverse description The reverse depicts a stylised rendering of the Pisces zodiac sign inspired by Seljuk period iconography, featuring two fish rendered in a bold, decorative relief with dotted surface detailing characteristic of medieval Anatolian tile and stone work. The pair of fish are shown intertwined in the centre of the oval field, their bodies curving in opposing directions amid flowing wave-like elements. Small stars are scattered across the darkened upper left field. The legend 'BALIK' (Turkish for Pisces/Fish) is inscribed in raised letters along the upper edge of the oval.
