背面描述 The reverse is dominated by three large interlocking Buddhist eternal knot (Soyombo-derived) guilloche rosettes arranged horizontally across the centre, rendered in blue and orange multicolour underprint on a fine purple guilloche background. The denomination «ХОРИН ТАВАН ТӨГРӨГ» is overprinted in bold Cyrillic across the central vignette, with the numeral 25 repeated in the corners and the date 1966 set within a cartouche at the top. Traditional Mongolian script panels are positioned vertically at the left and right margins, and a cautionary anti-counterfeiting inscription appears in a panel at the foot of the note.

备注

The 1966 series marked a comprehensive redesign of Mongolian paper currency, replacing the earlier Soviet-influenced issues that had been printed under tighter Kremlin oversight. By the mid-1960s, Mongolia retained Goznak as its printer — a relationship that persisted for decades — but the design work had shifted decisively to Mongolian artists, with Ts. Minjuur and D. Tserenpil credited on this denomination.

The tögrög had been pegged to the Soviet ruble since 1941, and that monetary dependency shaped everything about how these notes were managed, distributed, and valued domestically.
