正面描述 Printed in blue and orange on white cotton paper, the obverse carries at left a finely engraved pastoral vignette of a farmer guiding a horse-drawn plough through a field, with a second oval vignette at lower right portraying a young girl with a small animal. The bank title 'BANCO DE LONDRES MEXICO Y SUD AMERICA' arcs in bold letterpress across the upper centre, beneath which the denomination 'VEINTE Y CINCO SOLES' is inscribed, with the numeral '25' and place of issue 'Lima' completing the upper field. Signature lines for the Director and Gerente appear at the foot, and the word 'Specimen' is present on the face of the note.

备注

The Banco de Londres México y Sud América was a British-owned institution operating in Peru under a Peruvian concession, one of several foreign commercial banks that dominated Lima's financial sector in the early 1870s. The timing is significant: this note predates the catastrophic War of the Pacific by only a few years, a conflict that would effectively destroy Peru's public finances and render most private banknote issues worthless or unredeemable by the early 1880s.

ABNC produced the plates in New York, as they did for nearly every Latin American private bank of the period seeking engraved security printing. Surviving examples are scarce — the bank's Peruvian operations collapsed well before any orderly note retirement could occur.
