Reverse description The reverse depicts a full-color polychrome image of the historic Tudor warship Mary Rose under sail, rendered in a painterly style and set within a raised circular porthole frame decorated with bolts or studs around its circumference. A hinge mechanism is visible on the left side of the porthole surround, enhancing the nautical trompe-l'oeil effect. The ship is shown in three-quarter starboard view with multiple masts, rigging, and pennants flying, against a pale sky and green sea. The field surrounding the porthole frame is brushed and unadorned, allowing the colored inset to serve as the sole decorative focus. No inscriptions appear on the reverse.
