| Reverse description | Central high-relief, partially gilt depiction of the Xing Shi (行什), the mythological spine beast of the Forbidden City, shown seated upon a rectangular plinth and rendered in vivid gold gilding. The figure, displaying leonine features, wings, and a humanoid torso, is set against a deeply recessed black field. To the upper right, a low-relief architectural rendering of a traditional imperial Chinese palatial roofline with decorative ridge figures is visible, while the lower left background presents an engraved view of a Forbidden City gate tower beneath an auspicious full moon and stylised cloud scrolls. The inner border is formed by a decorative stamp-perforation motif.
