背面描述 At the centre of the field, an ornate khukuri (traditional Nepali dagger) is depicted vertically, flanked symmetrically on each side by a descending floral garland, the garlands arching outward from the top and meeting at the lower portion of the blade. Below this central device, Devanagari inscriptions in two lines read 'Pachis Rupaiyan' (Twenty-Five Rupees) and 'Nepal'. The central motif is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a stylised lotus-petal border divided into scalloped segments, each containing Devanagari script characters. A further beaded border frames the entire design at the rim.

附加信息

Birendra's coronation on February 24, 1975 — delayed nearly three years after his father Mahendra's death in 1972 — was staged with considerable ceremony in Kathmandu, and the Nepalese government commissioned a full suite of commemorative coinage to mark the event. This proof issue was struck in 1974 in anticipation of the coronation, a common practice that allowed distribution to collectors and foreign dignitaries well before the ceremony itself.

KM#838a designates the proof striking, distinguished from the standard circulation commemorative by its mirrored fields.
